The Evening & Weekend Program offers various types of transportation assistance. Each EWMBA student is provided one transportation option per semester and is required to keep this preference up to date. This preference is primarily for attending class on-campus, but may be used for co-curricular events if applicable.

If you plan to drive to campus, several parking permit options are available:
- Student ‘S’ Permits: Available in daily, weekly, or monthly increments. These are ideal for students arriving before 5:00pm on weekdays.
- Hill (‘H’) Permits: Available daily or monthly. Before 5:00pm, parking is limited to the Foothill Lot (closest to Haas). After 5:00pm and on weekends, these permits are also valid in ‘C’, ‘F’, and ‘S’ lots, including the Bowles Lot and the Law Lot.
- Hourly parking is available at the Foothill Lot for short-term stays.
- Note: Memorial Stadium Garage, across from Haas, is privately owned, offering hourly rates
Your student fees, which are included in your Haas tuition, include the BayPass which provides free access to most Bay Area public transit services. Visit the BayPass website for the full list of transit services covered by the BayPass.
UC Berkeley Parking Permits are not valid in nearby parking lots on Football Game Days, such as Berkeley Law Lot, Underhill, Bowles, Bancroft, or Foothill. These lots are reserved for Football Season Ticketholders and violators will be cited and/or towed. In addition, Piedmont Ave is closed 2.5 hours before kick-off and will remain closed through the duration of the game.
If applicable, the Program Office will communicate alternative parking plans via the Bear Necessities newsletter prior to Game Day.
Special Events at the Hearst Greek Theatre or Memorial Stadium will impact parking and traffic on Piedmont Ave. Examples are concert at the Greek Theatre that require Bowles Lot to be closed for event staff. Please expect increased traffic around Haas on these dates due to the proximity to these venues.
Other events may impact lot and space availability in lots such as Berkeley Law Lot and Underhill as they are part of the larger Parking & Transportation network. Parking lots can be reserved by other campus departments or outside entities for events such as reunions, weddings, or bat/bar mitzvahs. While Berkeley Law Lot is the closest parking lot to Haas, it is not exclusively for Haas use. Please always take not of posted signs at lot entrances and specific spaces for restrictions.
If applicable, the Program Office will attempt to notify students of any upcoming events via the Bear Necessities newsletter. Per the UC Berkeley permit rules, permit holders are responsible for obeying all posted restrictions in campus lots.
Evening Shuttles
Evening Shuttles only run during the Fall and Spring semesters on Mondays through Thursdays. There is no shuttle service on the weekends or during the Summer session.
There is a single route that will depart, with a single stop at the Hayward BART Station. The pickup point for the shuttles in the 2026 – 2027 school year will be located at the Mountain View Transit Center in Mountain View, CA.
- Shuttle leaves Mountain View promptly at 3:45PM PT
- Shuttle leaves Hayward BART promptly at 5PM PT
- Shuttle will leave Haas promptly at 9:45PM PT
The bus operator we will be using is Mosaic Transportation.
To ensure safe, reliable service and prompt arrivals for all riders, the following guidelines apply to the Evening Shuttle:
- The Evening Shuttle provided by the Evening & Weekend MBA Program Office is only offered to current, active Evening & Weekend MBA students. Individuals outside of this criteria are not permitted to ride the shuttle.
- Due to heavy or unpredictable traffic patterns in the Bay Area, the Evening Shuttle will depart promptly at the times listed..
- Shuttle riders are responsible for arriving at the pickup area in Mountain View and Hayward BART in a timely manner. To avoid the possibility of you or your fellow classmates missing instruction time, students riding the Evening Shuttle agree that they are not permitted to ask the shuttle driver to pause or prolong the scheduled departure time to Haas.
- Similarly, students riding the shuttle agree to board the shuttle back to the Mountain View Transit Center in a timely manner. Students riding the shuttle agree that they are not permitted to ask the shuttle driver to pause or prolong the scheduled departure time back to the Mountain View Transit Center.
- If a shuttle rider misses the shuttle because they are late, the shuttle rider is responsible for making their own transportation arrangements to or from class.
- Plan accordingly to have time to park and get to the shuttle before the shuttle departure time.
- Specific shuttle type and it’s amenities are subject to change based on vendor shuttle availability
- EWMBA students who choose to ride the shuttle are expected to go “beyond yourself” by avoiding taking phone calls on speaker phone, using an ‘inside voice’ when holding conversations with fellow bus riders, and showing consideration to shuttle driver directions.
If you have any issues or concerns about the shuttle you are riding, please contact the shuttle company dispatch directly at 1-800-398-7881 (press “option 2”).
There are two lots that are a two-minute walk to the pick up point. Parking is allowed for two hours, but is free after 5:00 PM.

Parking in the incorrect lot during posted hours does not count as improper display of your permit.

1) Upper Hearst Level 1 (please check signage for special events that may affect parking).
2) Stadium Garage/Maxwell Garage is the public paid parking lot across from Haas. Posted parking rates apply.
Handicap parking spots are available if one has a California DP placard AND campus permit.
There are two blue spots at the top of Boalt, and a couple near the Optometry School (unclear whether it’s reserved at all times for the Eye Clinic, but the clinic closes at 5PM).
There is also a service called The Loop, basically golf cart door to door service. It will not pick up at parking lots, but you can review the Loop locations here
