Jelena Joffe Weil holds a Master of Science of Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and a Bachelor’s degree in European Business Studies with honors from RISEBA University of Applied Sciences.

Jelena is the founder and Worldwide Leader of the Venture Innovation program at AWS. She works with some of the world’s largest organizations helping them deliver business outcomes and de-risk/accelerate innovation through effective collaborations with the cutting-edge startup ecosystem. Throughout her career, Jelena has helped hundreds of global companies effectively transform and innovate, including through the recent advancements in technology, such as Generative AI.
Prior to joining AWS in 2018, Jelena led a strategic PMO at AB Inbev in New York before pivoting to develop and drive tech innovation strategy out of its Silicon Valley outpost. She started her career on a Lean team at GE and ran transformation programs for Fortune 500 companies around the globe while at a boutique management consultancy in London and New York, where she served as its Director.
A strategist by day and a published poet by night, Jelena brings structure, rigor, and empathy to the innovation practice and her body of work.
