The Tech Lead for the Earth Innovation Challenge will be responsible for developing an app and a website to visualize climate change, and help individuals and businesses track and reduce their carbon footprint. This role requires professional experience as a Full Stack Developer and a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate should be creative, analytical, and possess strong communication skills. The Tech Lead will be the only technical person on the project and must be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an app and a website to visualize climate change and help individuals and businesses track and reduce their carbon footprint
- Work with non-technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Write clean, well-designed code that meets best practices and standards
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and guides
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
Qualifications:
- Professional experience as a Full Stack Developer (1-2 years)
- Familiarity with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks such as React and Node.js
- Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Passion for innovation and entrepreneurship
