As an Open Innovation Manager for the Open Innovation Squad, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of a selected innovation challenge, coordinating with executives and cross-functional teams, and working towards its successful implementation and completion.

Michelin – Enhancing Circularity and Sustainability in Tires
We’re specifically looking for students with backgrounds in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Material Engineering
- Product Management
- Public Policy
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in the innovation industry or a strong enthusiasm for it
- Able to dedicate a minimum of five fully focused hours per week
- Currently enrolled in any program at UC Berkeley
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in our Open Innovation training ahead of the challenge.
- Develop and refine the vision, goals, and objectives of your selected innovation challenge, ensuring alignment with the broader mission of the sponsoring organization.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including academic and industry partners, to design and execute the challenge.
- Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and providing regular updates on the challenge’s progress.
