Whitney Hischier

Faculty Director, IBD, Distinguished Teaching Fellow and Lecturer, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

Whitney Hischier is a lecturer at Haas and serves as the Faculty Director for its Center for Executive Education. Whitney has spent most of her career in change management and system implementation consulting, primarily on international assignments. She has worked for KPMG in the Netherlands and UK, ABN Amro Bank in Portugal and Spain and the Endeavor Initiative, on projects in Chile and Argentina. Following an undergraduate degree focused on security and arms control, she worked with NATO for ten summers to run presidential-level conferences on European security issues in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, and Russia. Whitney previously served as the Assistant Dean for the Center for Executive Education at Haas from 2004-2012, spending much of her time consulting to domestic and international clients on human capital challenges and designing educational programs to help solve them. Major international clients include Statoil and DNV (Norwegian), the Panama Canal, and universities in Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Whitney serves as a faculty mentor in the International Business Development program. She holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and an MBA from Haas with a Certificate in Health Management.

Judy Hopelain

Faculty Mentor, IBD, Lecturer, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

Judy is an Executive level corporate strategy and brand management professional. Judy has helped to grow three consulting practices, conceive and launch two multichannel Internet-based businesses with responsibility for business strategy, channel development and marketing, and advised four Internet startups. Her background includes 20+ years’ experience driving growth through customer- centricity, with particular expertise in business strategy and brand positioning, customer insight and activation, business development, and integrated marketing.

In addition to consulting, Judy is a lecturer on the Marketing faculty at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. She teaches Brand Strategy & Management and Marketing, and sponsors Berkeley’s National Student Advertising Competition team.

David Richardson

Executive Director, IBD, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

David has worked in the IBD program at Berkeley Haas since 2011. Prior to joining IBD, he spent 26 years in sales and marketing for global investment banking firms in New York, London and San Francisco — including positions with JP Morgan and Bank of America. David’s prior responsibilities included managing corporate finance relationships with sovereign entities, banks and companies in the Middle East and the UK. He also developed and maintained investment management relationships with institutional investors in the US. David has an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia University, an MA in English from Indiana University, and a BA in English from Davidson College. He served for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa.

Jake Lammert

Program Coordinator, IBD, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

Jake joined Haas after working for nearly 20 years in the field of social accountability, serving in program and project management, operations, and global coordination roles, as well as serving as a lead social compliance auditor and overseas health & safety consultant.

Prior to this, he worked for a number of years in the independent film and professional testing industries.
