Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Development IPA-LIFT-CEGA Researcher Gathering

The Lab for Inclusive Fintech (LIFT) at the University of California, Berkeley, IPA’s Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Development (EPSD) Program and the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) will be hosting a researcher gathering on October 7 and 8, 2024, at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.

The in-person event will be by invitation only and bring together researchers from around the world for two days of discussions on innovative research designs, early-stage results, and new papers focused on entrepreneurship and private sector development, with a special focus on digital financial services and financial technologies.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, new work on entrepreneurship, and private sector development, including access to finance, fintech and leveraging digital technologies, women’s entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and resilience, innovation and technology adoption, access to markets, workforce development, industrial policy, improving management, machine learning and AI, and advances in research methods and measurement.

A scientific committee composed of EPSD and LIFT academic advisors will review and select the presentations for the conference. We are not accepting published or forthcoming papers.
