Almog Goldstein, a Strategic Architect, is the Founding Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Open Innovation Labs at the Haas School of Business’ Institute for Business Innovation.
Bridging rigorous academic theory with hands-on enterprise execution, he specializes in Open Innovation, Dynamic Capabilities, and Product Management. Almog partners with top global corporations, startups, and researchers to design structural frameworks that drive value creation, value capture, organizational transformation, and sustainable growth.
Established in 2022 and supervised by Professor Henry Chesbrough, the Father of Open Innovation, Professor Sara Beckman, the Founding Director of the UC Berkeley Executive Product Management Program, and Professor David Teece, the Pioneer of Dynamic Capabilities and the world’s #1 Business & Management Scholar, the Open Innovation Squad, which transitioned into the Open Innovation Labs in 2025, bridges academic theory and practical application by sourcing real-world challenges from leading brands and training cross-functional teams of UC Berkeley students to solve them.
Almog Goldstein founded and leads the UC Berkeley Open Innovation Advisory Board, an elite group of Open Innovation experts from leading firms and universities.
