Almog Goldstein is the Founding Executive Director of the Open Innovation Labs at the Institute for Business Innovation, UC Berkeley.
Established in 2022 and supervised by Dr. Henry Chesbrough, the Father of Open Innovation, the Open Innovation Squad, which transitioned into the Open Innovation Labs in 2025, bridges academic theory and practical application by sourcing real-world challenges from leading brands and training cross-functional teams of UC Berkeley students to solve them.
Almog is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Beaches App, Inc., a startup that enhances the beach experience by orchestrating a comprehensive beach ecosystem. The app, featured by the US Federal Government, consolidates dozens of decentralized beach information databases into an all-in-one platform.
