Laura is a Senior Manager and deputy to the Group Head of Innovation at Zurich Insurance, where she defines the Group’s innovation strategy, focusing on open innovation, venture clienting, and scaling startup collaborations globally. She leads high-impact initiatives as part of the Zurich Innovation Championship Program and the first Agentic AI Hyper Challenge in the insurance industry, driving measurable business impact through cutting-edge partnerships.
Beyond her corporate role, Laura shares her expertise as a guest lecturer at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), teaching “Strategy, Innovation & Venture Clienting” in the CAS Digital Insurance & AI Transformation program.
Before Zurich, Laura was a key figure in UBS’s innovation and venture efforts, setting up UBS’ Fintech Venture Capital Fund (USD 200M) and leading strategic projects such as the definition of UBS’ Innovation Strategy and digital venture propositions. She also spearheaded venture capital investments in fintech pioneers like Consensys and Anthemis.
Earlier in her career, Laura drove digital transformation projects at Credit Suisse as a Product Owner for process automation and managed high-net-worth client portfolios. She began her professional journey with roles at Allianz in IT security, risk management, and data governance.
Outside of work, Laura is an avid skier and hiker in the Swiss and Italian mountains. A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, she combines rigorous financial acumen with a deep understanding of emerging technologies to deliver transformative business outcomes.
