Linn Kretzschmar is the Programme Lead of CERN Venture Connect, the flagship deep-tech entrepreneurship initiative at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the world’s largest laboratory for particle physics. Operating at the strategic intersection of technology, innovation, and global venture capital, Linn directs the pathways that transform breakthrough frontier science into scalable, high-impact ventures.

Her work focuses on orchestrating global deep-tech ecosystems, where she interacts extensively with VCs, founders, and researchers to bridge the gap between Big Science and market-ready products. This follows her previous role within CERN’s Knowledge Transfer group, where she contributed to the strategic translation of research-driven innovation into industrial applications, with a particular focus on leveraging CERN technologies for environmental sustainability and societal impact.

Linn’s expertise is rooted in her previous work in innovation consulting as well as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie researcher and lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. During this time, she led multi-stakeholder projects on open innovation topics and the valorisation of large-scale scientific infrastructure, including commercial assessments for next-generation global research facilities.
