Jorge is an innovator at the intersection of business and tech, currently focusing on the exciting challenge of fostering Innovation and Digital agenda on Healthcare, aiming to have a positive impact on patients lives.
Jorge is the Innovation Director at GSK Spain, leading the digital transformation efforts of the company (data, insights & AI; process automation, digital channels, tech evolution, digital fluency and open innovation). Under his leadership, GSK has been recognized in 2025 as “AI company of the year” by the Spanish Association of Telco Engineers and “Digital Transformation company of the year” by Digital Enterprise Show.
As part of his role, he leads Gate2Health, GSK open innovation platform focused on implementing Digital Health solutions within the Healthcare System. Gate2Health has enabled signing strategic partnerships within the innovation ecosystem in Spain, has captured private-public funding to catalyze digital health solutions, and is currently implementing +50 innovative solutions within the Spanish Healthcare System.
Prior to GSK, he established the Open Innovation Health Hub of AstraZeneca in Madrid, integrating it within the global network (A.Catalyst). He also worked at Telefonica Open Innovation (Wayra, Open Future, Telefonica Ventures), accelerating the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain.
