Jazz Samra is an innovator at the intersection of banking and emerging technology. With a career spanning global technology companies, high-growth fintechs, and the largest U.S. financial institutions, Jazz has become a driving force behind enterprise modernization, financial infrastructure transformation, and the evolution of consumer and enterprise digital experiences.

As Head of Emerging Tech Partnerships and Innovation , Jazz leads strategy across emerging tech, AI, and fintech ecosystems—engaging more than 500+ startups, 50+ VC and PE firms, and the world’s leading technology platforms (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Salesforce, Stripe, PayPal) to reimagine how a 70M-customer institution modernizes and scales new financial solutions. A member of the CTO and SDI leadership teams, Jazz shapes long-term technology strategy and guides the adoption of human-centered design, next-generation products, and ecosystem-driven innovation.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Jazz accelerated fintech transformation on a global scale. As VP of Global Partnerships at Marqeta, she strengthened its position in the $30 trillion issuing market and contributed to Marqeta’s $900M ARR and inclusion on the Forbes Fintech 50 list. She forged high-impact partnerships with Plaid, Mambu, Deloitte, Greenlight, and FNBO, enabling new embedded finance capabilities and cross-border expansion.

Jazz’s fintech expertise is complemented by deep experience scaling global commercial and platform businesses. During her seven-year tenure at Google, she led the landmark $4XXM ADT x Google Nest partnership, oversaw P&L of $XB+ and  XX% growth in Google Ads through a 150-partner channel ecosystem, and, as Country Manager for Google Canada, scaled the operation from zero to $XXM—becoming Google’s third largest global market. Her earlier roles at Visa, Intuit, and American Express further grounded her as a financial services strategist with expertise in card issuance, loyalty, merchant ecosystems, and consumer payments innovation.

Recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Admired Women in San Francisco, Jazz is also an advocate for inclusive innovation and a champion for women in technology. She is a founding member of Chief, the founder of Google’s Women of the Channel Network, and a winner of multiple leadership awards at Google and American Express. Her executive education includes Harvard’s Google School for Leaders and global leadership programs across the U.S., France, and Canada.

With a unique blend of enterprise vision, fintech mastery, and human-centered leadership, Jazz is widely regarded as a transformative operator—one who not only leads the financial services industry forward, but expands who gets to shape its future.
