Principal Key Expert, Siemens Healthineers

LinkedIn Bio
Marc Schlichtner is a senior transformation, innovation, and portfolio strategy expert and advisor with more than 26 years of executive experience, complemented by executive education in Strategy and Innovation at MIT Sloan, helping established global organizations successfully build and scale new products and digital businesses.
He is a Principal Key Expert at Siemens Healthineers, a DAX 40 global market leader, where he leads Strategic Platform Portfolio Management for a large-scale, double-digit-million global portfolio spanning multiple products and horizontal business units. Operating in highly regulated, global matrix environments, Marc has consistently translated innovation ambition into execution—launching the company’s first 24/7 digital service, establishing a centralized business unit portfolio operating model, and building the first customer-driven, end-to-end, cross–business unit digital portfolio management system.
His experience spans multiple industries—including healthcare, industrial, mobility, and building technologies—and global regions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, China, and the United States, giving him a deeply practical, cross-cultural perspective on transformation at scale.
Marc is known for his hands-on execution credibility. He advises leaders not on theory, but on approaches he has personally implemented at scale. His work focuses on portfolio governance, investment decision-making, KPI systems, and operating models that embed innovation and portfolio management into the core business—rather than running them as artificial parallel initiatives.
Beyond his corporate role, Marc serves on several international advisory boards, including the Board of Governors of the IEEE Technology & Engineering Management Society, FIR at RWTH Aachen University, and the MBA Leadership Digital Business Transformation program at Quadriga University. He is also the Founder of the Transformation Club (T-Club), the largest enterprise-wide transformation initiative at Siemens Healthineers, focused on upgrading portfolios and operating models for long-term competitiveness.
