Filippo Maria leads the international scaling of Innovation at Generali, as part of Generali France, and co-leads Generali’s global corporate venture capital initiative, Generali Ventures.
As part of Generali’s global head-office, he led the global open innovation strategy of the Group, directly contributing to structure and steer Generali’s approach to open innovation. Filippo Maria has set-up a global innovation management platform and structured Generali’s European ecosystem of open innovation hubs.
Beside his role at Generali, Filippo Maria acts as mentor in different international startups’ acceleration programs and guest speaker at numerous international innovation and Insurtech conferences.
Before joining Generali, Filippo Maria worked as VC at Plug and Play in Sunnyvale (California) and at Google. Over the last 10 years, Filippo Maria held managerial and consulting positions across multiple industries at the intersection of venture capital, insurance, digital transformation, arts, with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, and public institutions.
