Martin Wallace holds an MSc in Technology & Innovation Management from University College Dublin and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick.

Martin is a technology and innovation leader with more than 25 years of experience helping organisations translate emerging technologies into tangible business and societal impact.

He currently leads Innovation & Manufacturing Technology within GSK’s Medicine Development & Supply organisation, where he helps shape the company’s manufacturing technology and innovation agenda across R&D and manufacturing. Working at the intersection of science, technology, and business, he connects internal teams with external partners to accelerate the adoption of new capabilities that improve how medicines are developed, manufactured, and supplied.

Over the past decade, Martin has designed and scaled innovation models that bring together pharmaceutical companies, startups, academic institutions, technology providers, government bodies, and industry consortia. His work spans open innovation, technology scouting and multi-partner programmes focused on advanced manufacturing, automation, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and sustainability.

He has also contributed to industry-wide initiatives, including the development of the UK Medicines Manufacturing Technology Roadmap, helping to define future priorities for pharmaceutical manufacturing. His career has included leadership roles at GSK, Pfizer, and PM Group, delivering major manufacturing, technology, and capability-building programmes from concept through industrial deployment. Throughout his career, Martin has remained focused on turning emerging technologies and collaborative innovation into practical solutions that create measurable value.

Martin is passionate about building innovation ecosystems that connect industry, academia, startups, and public-private partnerships. He enjoys helping organisations move beyond experimentation and unlock the full potential of emerging technologies to address complex challenges in healthcare, manufacturing, and sustainability.
