In her capacity as Chief Executive Officer at UC Berkeley’s Open Innovation Squad, Shree leverages her expertise in interdisciplinary innovation, product management, and cross-functional leadership to spearhead student programs, elevate the organization’s visibility, and transform it into a premier student hub for learning. Her professional journey includes various roles across biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, where she leveraged AI and predictive analytics to accelerate clinical trial protocol optimization by 1.2x, convert over 20 million medical records into decision-ready insights, and speed up drug risk assessment by 50%. Alongside her current role at Genentech, she also leads AI engineering at Dreamer, an early-stage startup dedicated to advocating for artists through an AI-powered talent agent.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shree’s leadership skills are further exemplified by her deep involvement in the garba-raas dance community. As a former competitive dancer and vice captain, captain, and senior advisor of her team, she led CMU Raasta to perform at the Raas All-Stars (RAS) National Championship in 2023. She has since continued to demonstrate her strong organizational and coaching abilities by organizing a 4-day national championship for over 200 dancers through the RAS National Board and offering feedback to 16 teams across multiple dance competitions to refine their craft.
