VP of Partnerships

Open Innovation Squad

Role Description – Only for UC Berkeley Students

This position is not a formal employment opportunity.

VP of Partnerships

Expand our reach, build career-boosting networks, and build a digital legacy.

What you’ll do

  • Own student recruiting events: plan info sessions, tabling, cross-club collabs, and host “past-participant” panels.
  • Connect faculty & advisors with students by creating connections to foster knowledge exchange.
  • Forge campus alliances with clubs, labs, and programs to co-host events and share resources.
  • Stand-up career workshops with Career Center partners—résumé clinics, design-thinking for job search, etc.
  • Launch networking frameworks so current members tap into alumni and pro networks.
  • Coordinate faculty office hours for project support and feedback loops.
  • Drive social media strategy (LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads) to showcase student wins and OIS impact stories.

You’re a great fit if you…

  • Are a UC Berkeley undergrad or grad student available fall ’25 (~5-7 hrs/wk).
  • Thrive on building relationships—whether cold-emailing executives or rallying students at Sproul.
  • Have run events, club growth, or social media campaigns (analytics instincts a plus).
  • Enjoy translating academic research into real-world opportunities for your peers.
  • Are ready to represent Berkeley’s Open Innovation spirit on and off campus.

What you’ll gain

  • Weekly mentorship from seasoned leaders in the Institute for Business Innovation.
  • Experience crafting end-to-end recruitment funnels and brand campaigns.
  • Expansive network in product management, innovation, and cutting-edge industries
