Seren Pendleton-Knoll is a graduate of UC Berkeley, with a Masters of Development Practice emphasizing private sector solutions. Her thesis analyzed innovations in financing for small businesses. During the summer of 2014 she interned with Chevron’s Policy, Governance, and Public Affairs Team, re-designing its social investment monitoring and evaluation system. Prior to graduate school, Seren worked four years in the Bay Area in social services as a counselor and case manager at numerous group homes and treatment centers, and was the Program Coordinator for the San Mateo County Youth Commission. She received her BA with honors in Clinical Psychology and Applied Theater from Whitman College. She serves on the Alameda County Human Relations Commission and is an Alameda County Court Appointed Service Advocate to Foster Youth.
