She previously was a managing director at LAUNCH, where she scouted and invested in early-stage startups with a focus on climate solutions.

Joshua Posamentier

Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Congruent Ventures

Joshua Posamentier is co-founder and Managing Partner of Congruent Ventures, an early-stage climate tech and sustainability focused venture capital fund managing over $600M based in San Francisco.  To date, the firm has invested in nearly 50 amazing teams addressing challenges in food and agriculture, the energy transition, the built environment and mobility, as well as sustainable production and consumption.

With 25+ years of experience building businesses from electric vehicle components to wireless chips and networking hardware to mobile software, he is now fully focused on investing in companies that can mitigate climate change.  Joshua has over 50 patents issued or pending and holds a BA in physics from the University California at Berkeley and MBAs from the Columbia Business School and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Daniel Weiss

Co-founder and Managing Partner, Angeleno Group

Daniel G. Weiss is co-founder and Managing Partner of Angeleno Group LLC (“AG”), a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm with a global platform focused on high growth investments in next-generation clean energy and climate solutions companies. In addition to his firm management responsibilities, Mr. Weiss leads investments and serves on boards of multiple AG portfolio companies. Before the formation of AG in 2001, Mr. Weiss was an attorney at O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, working in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and international and high technology practice groups. He represented multiple Global 1000 clients, including utilities and energy-related companies, in a wide array of private equity and corporate finance transactions. Currently, Mr. Weiss serves on boards or public commissions for several non-profit and government organizations, including the California Community Foundation, World Resources Institute, the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (where he serves as co-Chair), and the Federal Reserve Bank’s 12th District Economic Advisory Council. In addition, Mr. Weiss has taught, lectured, and published articles on the topics of law, business, and public policy. Mr. Weiss holds a JD from Stanford Law School, an MA from Stanford University, and a BA with High Honors from UC Berkeley.

Jonathan Garfinkel

Partner at TPG, TPG Rise Climate

Jonathan Garfinkel is a Partner of TPG based in San Francisco, and is a member of the leadership team of TPG Rise Climate, the firm’s dedicated climate impact investing business.  Jonathan joined TPG in 1998 and through 2010 worked on the TPG Capital private equity investment team in both San Francisco and London.  Thereafter, he served in numerous firm-related roles, including leadership of corporate development and compensation, and was TPG’s Co-Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 to June 2021.

Jonathan serves or has served on the boards of Summit Carbon Solutions, Monolith, eVoltz, ProSight Specialty Insurance, HS Group, 2Co Energy, Aleris International, and Midwest Air Group.  He is a member of the Advisory Council of Stanford’s Graduate School of Education and the Stanford Cancer Institute, is the current Board Chair of Climb Hire, and the former Board Chair of Aspire Public Schools.  Jonathan holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University, an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and an MA in Education from Stanford’s Graduate School of Education.  He and his wife Kimberly live in San Francisco with their four children, Maddie (17), Ollie (15), Annabelle (12) and Samantha (10).
