Her adept management of the intricate steps in each case, collaboration with key stakeholders, and her guidance to instructors throughout the process demonstrate her outstanding capabilities. Despite the substantial workload, Ashley remains responsive and helpful in addressing day-to-day inquiries, making her an invaluable asset to the Academic HR group at Haas.

Danner Doud-Martin, Director of Haas Campus Sustainability with Sustainability and Climate Change: Danner has demonstrated exceptional collaborative skills while spearheading the launch of the ambitious 2023/2024 Haas Zero Waste program over the past two months. Following the Dean’s endorsement of a new Zero Single Use plastic policy in June, Danner has gone above and beyond by personally engaging with each unit and Program Team at Haas. Her proactive approach, which involves not only communicating the policy but also actively listening to concerns and ideas from various stakeholders, reflects her commitment to inclusivity and support during this significant school-wide transition. Danner’s patience, supportiveness, and can-do attitude have played a pivotal role in the success of this initiative.

 

Diana Martinez, Associate Director of Admissions with Undergrad Admissions: Since joining UC Berkeley and the team in January, Diana has made a significant impact on the Undergrad Program. Her proactive approach became evident as she immediately took on the responsibility of facilitating existing admissions presentations while also creating a new presentation for the four-year program, complete with a comprehensive script and documentation for future use. Diana’s initiative extended to the establishment of a new social media account for the Undergrad Program, which has garnered popularity among both current and prospective students, serving as a valuable communication tool for conveying major policies, updates, and office operations. Additionally, she played a leadership role in updating the admissions website and collaborating with a marketing firm, ensuring streamlined and accessible information for prospective students. Amid her onboarding process, Diana’s co-leadership in the Fun Committee has fostered a strong sense of community and belonging within the program team.

 

Dorothy Zhuomei, MBA Career Coach with MBA Career Management Group: Dorothy, as part of a collaborative team of three coaches, played a pivotal role in the creation of the “Career Growth Groups” program for recent graduates. Together, they designed a series of workshops that aimed not only to strengthen the relationship between Haas and the students but also fostered connections among the graduates themselves. Hazel Zambrano, Associate Director of Alumni Communities with DAR: During spring 2023, Hazel played an integral role within the Office of Sustainability and Climate Change in collaboration with three alumni to successfully launch the Alumni Sustainability Group. Her leadership and meticulous approach were instrumental in motivating the team and overseeing the completion of various tasks, despite the significant commitments of the recently graduated alumni. Hazel’s guidance in implementing best practices for a successful group launch, including establishing a newsletter, reaching out to alumni, and designing a logo, showcased her expertise and dedication. Collaborating with CMG, she identified and connected with these graduates, conducting interviews to extract compelling narratives from their experiences. The campaign was skillfully executed with a creative and uplifting approach, released weekly throughout the summer, aligning with the school’s strategic plan for comprehensive employment outcomes. Kim’s expertise and platform amplified the campaign’s message, ultimately inspiring new students who encountered these profiles during orientation.

 

Kristie Harris, Career Coach and Associate Director of CMG Programs with MBA Career Management Group: Kristie has voluntarily taken on a leadership role within CMG, spearheading a strategic plan tactic team focused on fostering continuous learning within the group. Although this initiative was not originally part of her job description, her skills and proactive attitude led her to take the lead. Despite it not being a pre-planned or scoped endeavor during the app launch, Rachel identified the opportunity and collaborated with the entire WP adcom team to draft copy for four concise videos. She seamlessly coordinated with operations to ensure smooth embedding into the application process and liaised with Haas digital to bring these videos to fruition.
