The Haas Insights Engine is building the shared foundation, governance, and analytics capability that helps Haas use data more consistently, collaboratively, and effectively.
What is the Haas Insights Engine?
The Haas Insights Engine is a school-wide initiative to establish a comprehensive data, analytics, and governance framework that better supports decision-making across Haas. It’s building the shared foundation, common language, stewardship model, and enabling structure needed to turn data from across the school into trusted and usable institutional insight.
Why it exists?
Haas depends on data for operational, strategic, and reputational decisions, yet information lives across many systems, integrations are uneven, definitions are not always shared, and insight can be difficult to scale. The Haas Insights Engine exists to address these challenges by combining technical infrastructure with shared governance, coordinated practices, and a more sustainable model for institutional analytics.
What it is being built
The initiative is building a stronger data foundation, a central analytics and insights capability, and a governance model that helps people across teams work together more intentionally. This includes shared definitions and logic, a central repository and analytics foundation, a hub-and-spoke support structure, stewardship and management roles, cross-functional governance across metrics and analytics, and documentation that helps agreed approaches persist over time.
What it will provide
For Haas, the initiative will provide more reliable access to trusted information, stronger dashboards and reporting, clearer shared metrics, improved cross-functional visibility, and a more coordinated way to manage and use data across the school. It will also provide the structures, roles, and practices needed for governance to function in daily work, making the school’s analytics capability more scalable, repeatable, and resilient over time.
