Reduce, Divert, Recover
Chou Hall, Cheit Hall, and the E-Hub are Zero Waste Buildings

Everyone who studies, works, teaches, or uses our buildings and systems has influence.
Every choice—from how we design and use spaces to how we consume energy and resources—shapes our environmental impact.
Integrating Zero Waste practices into your event planning and utilizing our guides and resources is how YOU can make sustainable choices and help Haas achieve our sustainability goals.

Will your event have excess food?
Here are some suggestions for Food Recovery:
- Dorothy Day House(opens in a new tab) You must schedule a pick-up with Dorothy Day prior to the date of your event. Call the main line and ask for Chef Phil. Please note you need to have at least 5 hotel pans or more for them to come and pick up food.
- Basic Needs Center at UC Berkeley(opens in a new tab) Food needs to be in individual packaging and you need to drop it off at the BNC
- Slack Channel Haas School of Business #Free_Food(opens in a new tab)
- Bring the food to the staff lounge
