This page will help give you information and instruction about technology resources available to you, to help facilitate your work here at Haas.

PRIMARY RESOURCES
The staff’s information resource is the Staff Now page.
The page includes a How Do I – Search Tool, where you can type in and find answers to questions for Haas departments like, Human Resources, Technology Solutions, Facilities, Event Management, and Digital. Learn more:

Technology Solutions (TS) is Haas’ tech team. In partnership with Campus ITCS, they manage all tech support, including assistance for workstations, devices, applications, and research clusters, as well as media (audio-visual/presentation equipment) services.
TS also maintains a self-help knowledge base called, the How Do I documents.

TECH RESOURCES
CalNet is your identity on Campus. Typically, new employees would have been asked to create their CalNet IDs during the HR onboarding process. However, UC system processing may take a few days, and your CalNet account may not yet be active by your first day of work. Until your CalNet is active, you may be unable to access certain programs, sites, resources, or services.
To get more information about your CalNet account, CalNet ID, passphrase, and the CalNet 2-Step (two factor authentication), or if you still need to create your CalNet ID, please follow the link below:

If you do not have, or are unable to create your CalNet ID, or have questions, please first reach out to Haas Human Resources.
bConnected is the UC Berkeley suite of productivity apps. These include bMail (for email), bCal (for calendar), and bDrive (for cloud storage), Hangouts (for videoconferencing and chat), among others. Typically, your bConnected accounts would have already been created by your first day of work at Haas.

Most new staff would be provided with a Berkeley Desktop-imaged computer (Dell), along with essential accessories (monitor, keyboard, and mouse), and primary productivity software (Microsoft Office suite).

Staff who may require either landline or mobile phones may submit requests through Telecom/Help Desk. Note: all requests are subject to departmental approval.

Haas office desktop computers are usually networked to the Campus internet/data service via wired (ethernet) connection.
Laptop and mobile devices have a few wireless access options. The preferred and most secure Campus wifi service is eduroam. You will need to create an wifi key before you can access this service.

On Campus, Haas is using the online WebPrint app as its printing solution. Staff also have access to printing at the Mail and Copy Room (Student Services Bldg. Room S545).

For various business functions, staff may need to book Haas conference/meeting rooms, event spaces, and/or audio-visual (AV) presentation equipment.
