Erick O. Bell is an accounting and financial wellness professor. He holds a tenured position at Las Positas College, and also teaches at Golden Gate University’s masters program and the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Prior to pursuing academia full-time, Erick was the Managing Director at StoneTurn Group LLP in San Francisco where he focused on Corporate Investigations, Anti-Fraud Consulting, and Litigation and Dispute Support. Prior to joining StoneTurn, he spent 6 years with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLP as a Senior Manager in the Forensic and Litigation group and 9 years at KPMG LLP as a Senior Manager in the Audit and Risk Advisory Services managing the audits of several SEC registrants with a focus on technology, manufacturing, and distribution. Erick is an active Certified Public Accountant, and also held several other professional certifications including: Certified in Financial Forensics, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

In addition to serving as an educator, Erick also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Accounting Career Awareness Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups who pursue careers in finance and accounting.

He also is the sole proprietor of an accounting and bookkeeping services, providing financial reporting and analysis and forensic services to profit and non-profit entities.

In 2021, Erick released his first book publication, Living Healthy – 6 simple strategies to achieve a healthy life physically, spiritually, and financially.
