Our Approach to AI Leadership

Berkeley's Pioneering AI Legacy

From its foundational role in the development of machine learning to its No. 1 U.S. News ranking in data science, UC Berkeley is at the forefront of AI research. Haas turns that technical depth into business impact through faculty who work at the intersection of AI and management and economics, along with cross-campus collaborations with Berkeley Engineering and the College of Computing.

World-class Faculty, Evolving Curriculum

Master the future of work with AI training built into every Haas program. MBA students can pursue a dedicated Certificate in AI for Business and choose from 30 cutting-edge electives—such as AI Entrepreneurship—that evolve as fast as the technology does.

Bay Area Living Lab

Situated at the heart of the AI revolution, Haas students learn from the innovators defining the field—through mentors from leading firms and startup programs like UC LAUNCH and SkyDeck. They graduate ready to launch companies, step into leadership roles at AI’s biggest names, and apply AI across every industry and function.

Haas Leads in AI Education

At Haas, AI research is about more than code; it’s about the future of work. Our faculty dive into the “why” and “how” of AI—looking beyond the hype to explore its real-world effects on organizational structure, productivity, and the human dynamics of adoption.
