Our Mentoring Programming

Students and alumni have the opportunity to schedule 20-minute sessions with some of the Bay Area’s top entrepreneurs, VCs and attorneys through our Mentoring Hours program. Mentees must be enrolled in or have completed a degree program at UC Berkeley to be eligible. Executive Education, Startup Semester, BHGAP, Berkeley Extension, etc. students and alumni are NOT eligible to participate.

We have over 50 mentors who generously donate their time to help students with their business ideas via Zoom.

Our regular mentoring program pairs student-entrepreneurs with experienced professionals for 20-minute sessions. Availability of appointments with mentors is announced by e-mail. In order to sign up for a mentoring slot, you must respond to the email announcement we send out about a specific mentor. We will send out each announcement 1-2 days prior to the mentoring hours.  Current students and alumni may sign up for e-mail announcements.

Notes on mentoring sessions

  • In order to accommodate as many appointments as possible, we ask students to limit signups to one mentoring slot per week. No more than one appointment is allowed regardless of the number of mentors — duplicate requests will be deleted.
  • Mentoring hours are online only unless explicitly offered in-person.
  • If you are a no-show to a mentoring appointment, you won’t be able to sign up again that semester.
  • Upcoming mentor slots are announced at the end of each week (including the summer) and appointments fill up quickly, so please look for the email.
