Conferences

The Berkeley Center for Economics & Politics (BCEP) hosts an annual 1-day conference that brings together a community of top scholars who share interests in politics and economics. Papers are presented on a wide variety of topics, including issues of governance, political institutions and development, and conflict and politics in weakly institutionalized societies.

Seminars

The Berkeley Center for Economics & Politics(BCEP) sponsors two bi-weekly seminars during the fall and spring semesters. The Political Economy Seminar focuses on formal and quantitative work in the political economy field, including formal political theory. The Political Economy Research Lunch (PERL) is a seminar for PhD students engaged in political economy research from various departments on the UC Berkeley campus. PERL gives PhD students the opportunity to receive feedback on in-progress research from faculty and peers.
