Asiff Hirji

Asiff is the President of Moonpay, the leading crypto payments and Web3 infrastructure provider.

He was formerly President & Chief Operating Officer of Coinbase, where he scaled the company 40 times, more than $1B in revenue and closed funding at $8B. Before Coinbase, Asiff was Partner with a16z, where he helped their highest potential investments scale faster.

From 2014 to 2016, Asiff was Chief Restructuring Officer of HP. He co-led the split of HP, the turnaround and sale of HPE Services, and the sale of HP Software. Asiff also led a global $14B, 90,000 employee business.

From 2007 to 2013, Asiff was a Partner with TPG Capital. He helped lead their efforts in Financial Services, Technology, and E-commerce.

From 2003 to 2007, Asiff was an executive of TD AMERITRADE helping build it into the world’s largest online broker. He served as CIO, COO, and President. Asiff led a $3B, 3,000 employee business and helped drive a 600% increase in accounts, assets and market cap.

Before Ameritrade, Asiff was a Partner at Bain & Co. in their IT and Financial Services practices; President and Chief Technology Officer for Netfolio, an online investment advisor start-up; Founder and Partner of the Mitchell Madison Group, a global strategic consultancy that specialized in Financial Services and Technology; and a software engineer at IBM Labs.

Asiff serves on the boards of Forge and Stellar Foundation and served on the boards of Advent Software, Citrix Systems, Saxo Bank, TES Global, RentPath, and Eze Software  He has served as Board Chair, Chair of the Operating Committee, Chair of the Compensation Committee, and Member of the Finance, Nomination and Audit Committees.
