boost@BerkeleyHaas prepares and supports students throughout their high school journey through various workshops that focus on college preparedness, life skills development, professional development, case study projects and mentorship.

Our Mission: Through mentorship, business skills and college advising, we give underserved youth a boost throughout high school, preparing them for future academic and career endeavors.

Year-round programming designed to inspire and empower

Freshman: Year One

Incoming students take part in a one-week immersive summer academy designed to prepare them for their academic journey. During the school year, they work on case studies and leadership communication.

Sophomores: Year Two

Second years work with their mentors on developing a team business plan with an emphasis on problem solving.

Juniors: Year Three

Juniors take financial literacy lessons with Charles Schwab’s Money Wise America curriculum and have the opportunity to participate in internships.

Boost program commencement

Seniors: Year Four

Seniors attend college readiness workshops and are supported through their college applications and financial aid documents.

Students were a part of the 2024 graduating class. These students will pursue degrees from UC’s, CSU’s, HBCU’s, Ivy Leagues, and a variety of other colleges and universities throughout the nation.

Volunteers have served in Boost programmatic activities and collectively accumulated 100,000+ volunteer hours.

Students have been served from over 25 different school districts throughout the Bay Area.
