The UN’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative brings together the UN and business schools around the world to “inspire and champion responsible management education, research, and thought leadership globally” through the application of six principles: purpose, values, method, research, partnership, and dialogue.
The Office of Sustainability and Climate Change represents Berkeley-Haas in this endeavor. The PRME principles and our own Defining Leadership Principles support and amplify each other. Our first report on our progress toward integrating PRME here at Berkeley-Haas, written for the 2012-13 academic year, was recognized by the PRME Secretariat for allowing “the reader to grasp the scope and depth of activities: supported by ‘in-depth and diverse examples.’”
