Launching IBD 2024 with a riveting Big Reveal!

Now in its 32nd year, the IBD program kicked off spring semester 2024 with one of our favorite events: the project “Big Reveal.”

As part of this first IBD class of the year, faculty mentors Whitney Hischier and Judy Hopelain announced our current IBD project clients, their country locations, and the student teams assigned to each. This was followed by brief videos prepared for student teams by the IBD project clients, introducing themselves and their locations. Once again, the IBD “Big Reveal” in January stood out as a fun and exciting event for everyone involved – students, faculty, and staff.

This year we have an excellent group of IBD client consulting projects spread across Asia, Europe, and South America, including a number of companies located in Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Finland, Brazil, and Uruguay. Over the last few weeks our student teams have been connecting with their project clients, introducing themselves and beginning the work of solving their strategic business challenges.

In the months ahead, IBD student teams and project clients will collaborate remotely to share information, gather data, develop hypotheses, and explore ways to solve their respective business problems. All this work culminates in May during the final two weeks of the semester spent in project countries, where student teams will conclude their research and deliver final presentations to their project clients. We wish them all the best as they begin their international consulting journeys!
