Why participate in IBD?

Helping Clients Redefine How They Do Business Globally

The Berkeley Haas IBD program helps build the next generation of global leaders by providing MBA students with the opportunity to work with international clients on a wide range of strategic consulting projects. Our IBD students:

  • Gain valuable international management consulting experience across a variety of industries
  • Apply business principles learned in the classroom to “real world” consulting engagements overseas
  • Collaborate closely with team members across diverse cultures, economies and business environments

The Full-Time MBA IBD course is held in the Berkeley Haas spring semester, usually from late January to early June.  For more information on what’s expected of IBD students, please click here .

Evening & Weekend MBA students: please consult the Evening & Weekend Program Office for International opportunities.

Spring Semester 2021 IBD Course

In spring semester 2021, IBD students will work remotely in teams on their global consulting projects, collaborating virtually with clients throughout the semester and making their remote final project presentations in May.  No travel is planned due to the global pandemic and current travel and health restrictions.
