International Business Development (IBD) is one of the Berkeley Haas MBA Applied Innovation courses.

IBD participants work together in small groups of four to five of MBA students on international consulting projects sponsored by overseas clients. While IBD students take direct ownership of their projects, each project team has  a dedicated Faculty Mentor who guides and supports the team throughout the course, assisting the students as needed in communicating with the project client.

IBD students collaborate closely on their projects, working in team sessions while also receiving instruction on consulting frameworks and toolkits, teamwork best practices, and cultural awareness.

Note: Because IBD client projects are arranged in advance, there is no option to drop the IBD course after the bidding period. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
