The best place to start networking is the @cal Alumni Directory. Create your profile, and connect with alumni by industry, job function, or location.
@cal contains

    • all 37,000 Haas alumni and students, and
    • all 450,000 UC Berkeley alumni.

Read about some of the ways our outstanding alumni have given back in the 2014-2015 Annual Report.

LinkedIn and the @cal Alumni Directory

There are many ways to use LinkedIn and the @cal Alumni Directory together to find and contact specific alumni who can help leverage your network. View our suggestions to get you started.

To DISPLAY YOUR EMAIL address, log in. Then...

  1. Click the "Profile" tab.
  2. Click "Edit" on the "Home" or "Career" bar.
  3. Select "Community" in the pop-up menu next to your email address.
  4. Click "Save."

Have you activated your PUBLIC PROFILE?

What it does:

  • Verifies your Berkeley-Haas degree—beautifully.
  • Displays to the general public—with no login required.
  • Shows up on search engine results.
  • Allows anyone to privately email you—without them seeing your address.
  • Links to your social media accounts.

How to set it up: (in about 5 minutes)

  • LOGIN > Click "Profile" tab > "Edit Public Profile." Follow instructions.
  • Be sure to check "Show Contact Link," so anyone can contact you. (Your email address will never be displayed in your public profile.)
  • You may select a Cal or Haas background, or upload your own.

TIP: If you have never logged in to @cal
, and you need to apply for your CalNet ID, it will speed the process if you have your unique PIN. That's the number above the mailing label on anything the Haas School has mailed you, such as the BerkeleyHaas magazine. It is also at the bottom of our email newsletter, BerkeleyHaas News (formerly eHAN). No need to input your student ID number. (You can use the same CalNet ID you used as a student if you graduated after 2009.)
