UC Berkeley and the Bay Area are known for their leadership in the sustainable transformation of the world’s energy system. Students coming to UC Berkeley will be surrounded by groundbreaking research, engaging teaching and a vibrant network of fellow students who are passionate about energy and the environment.

The Energy Institute sponsors courses for MBAs and other graduate students who want to learn more about the fundamentals of energy and environmental markets and the commercialization of technologies to address climate change. For example, the hands-on Cleantech to Market course crosses disciplinary boundaries, putting together students from business, engineering, biosciences, law, and public policy to tackle large challenges.

Our courses for full-time and part-time students support career pathways in energy and clean technology.

Students can also join the university’s vibrant cross-campus student group, the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative.
