“’Right now customers get no price signal,’ Fowlie said. ‘If you go to the grocery store and Brussels sprouts are out of season, they’re going to be more expensive, so maybe you choose broccoli instead. There’s real benefits to sending people price signals, especially when it’s low cost to shift.’”
