Building an Inclusive STEM Pipeline: From Education to Industry
Virtual | Bay Area |
May 1 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Cal for All is a speaker series aimed at creating a more inclusive alumni community. Cal for All brings Berkeley alumni from diverse backgrounds and Cal Alumni Association (CAA) Alumni Chapter leaders together to discuss diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice (DEIBJ). This series offers a unique opportunity to connect with other alums, exchange best practices, and learn from our speakers about their efforts to promote DEIBJ values in their work and across the Cal community.
Each Cal for All event will be curated to provide an inclusive and supportive environment where alumni from all backgrounds can network, engage, and learn. This is a chance to connect with fellow Cal alums, share your experiences, and make a lasting impact on the Cal experience.
Learn more about DEIBJ and find additional resources provided by the UC Berkeley Division of Equity & Inclusion (https://diversity.berkeley.edu/ei-archive).
Dr. Tsu-Jae King Liu, Dean of the UC Berkeley College of Engineering, joins Cathy Han ’01, Founder of CAA’s DEIBJ Alumni Leadership Council and member of the Cal Alumni Club of New York board of directors, for a fireside chat. Colette Patt ’85, Ph.D. ’95, Assistant Dean for DEIBJ, UC Berkeley College of Computing, will moderate an engaging panel on DEIBJ leadership, featuring inspiring Cal alumni leaders from technology, higher-ed, and sustainability advisory backgrounds who will share their unique insights and best practices.
