Please join us for a discussion with Haas Alumnus and author/entrepreneur/advisor Marion McGovern on the ever changing dynamic of California’s gig economy. 

Marion wrote the book on earning a living independently, “Thriving in the Gig Economy: How to Capitalize and Compete in the New World of Work” based on her astute observations about the changing nature of work in California. Soon after, California passed AB 5, which virtually eliminated independent contractors in the state. 

We will hear Marion’s candid views on the future of the gig economy as well as her thoughts on Proposition 22 in which California’s voters will decide if Uber and Lyft drivers are employees or independent contractors.
