We are thrilled to announce the next Science of Diversity & Inclusion (SODI) Virtual Convening on October 29th from 1:00-2:30pm PT (convert to your time zone) hosted by EGAL, in partnership with the Science of Diversity & Inclusion Initiative (SODI). This convening will bring together behavioral scientists and leaders in diversity, equity, and inclusion to advance racial equity in the workplace. Our speakers include:

  • Conrad Miller, Assistant Professor of Economic Analysis and Policy at Berkeley Haas and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research and presentation examines how affirmative action regulations affect company decision making.
  • Laura Morgan Roberts, Professor of Practice at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, has published multiple articles in the Academy of Management on race and diversity and author of the recent book “Race, Work and Leadership: New perspectives on the Black experience.”
  • Iris Bohnet, Albert Pratt Professor of Business and Government, co-director of the Women and Public Policy Program, and Academic Dean of Harvard Kennedy School. Her most recent research examines behavioral design to de-bias how we live, learn and work and she is the author of “ What Works: Gender Equality by Design”. Her presentation will share insights from a new study revealing racial bias in the performance review process.

The SODI Website will continue to be updated with details about the agenda and speakers as we get closer to the event. We encourage you to check the site for more information.

We hope you’ll be able to join us!
