About

The Energy Institute at Haas and the Opportunity Lab offer the Energy and Environmental Economics (EEE) Undergraduate Mentorship Program, a robust mentoring program that can meet the needs of underrepresented undergraduate students (UGs) who are interested in exploring careers in the field of energy and environmental economics. The program is designed to help equip UGs with the needed quantitative and qualitative skills and give them experience in active research projects, while receiving career and life mentoring from a diverse group of mentors. Our goal is to diversify the community of scholars working in EEE.

Applications Due August 26, 2024

Selected UG mentees will be paired with doctoral students actively engaged in an EEE research project. The program helps UGs envision the impact of a research career and the path to get there.

The program also offers grant funding for doctoral students who have a EEE research project and are interested in serving as a mentor for UG researchers.
