Center for Gender Equity & Leadership
Improvement in gender equity for companies in the U.S. has been stalled for over twenty years. In Fortune 500 companies, only 5.8% of CEOs are women, none of color as of March 2017. Board seats occupied by women are at 20%, and in C-suite positions women comprise 20%.
The "great shrink" of women moving from mid-level to top leadership positions has not changed.
The Center for Gender Equity & Leadership focuses on:
- Curriculum and Teaching, developing and teaching specific courses on gender leadership, as well as integrating modules and data on gender equity into existing courses in all degree programs, as well as in our executive education offerings.
- Thought Leadership, conducting and producing empirical research, thought leadership, multi-media content, and case studies of companies now leading in gender equity.
- Implementation and Action, partnering with companies and organizations to host leadership symposia and action labs on change strategies.
