Ronak Shetty
B-BAY c/o 2021, Stanford University
As a member of the Class of 2026 at Stanford University, I am interested in business marketing/strategy, politics, public service, and foreign languages.
I am interested in traveling the world and learning more about different cultures and societies and learning foreign languages. Using my knowledge of foreign languages, I became the co-founder of Aprendalo.org, an online ESL tutoring service that caters to those who want to learn English but simply lack the means to pay for ESL lessons.
As the leader of Spanish Club and Democratic Society, I enjoy being a student leader and organizer who comes up with fresh, new, innovative ways to tackle everyday problems. I was the first student to take a research-based independent study in Spanish in high school. My podcasts and newspaper articles reflect my interest in politics, world cultures, and optimism for structural change.
In the B-BAY program, I further developed my skills in business and marketing. Furthermore, I worked with the program mentors to create and polish his college application essays. After the program, armed with knowledge and confidence, the ESL organization took off. Without a doubt, the B-BAY program helped me develop my skills in business asI questioned the status quo in search of solutions. I look forward to doing the same in the Education program student at Stanford.
