OfficeSpace is a dynamic seating and floor plan platform that shows you where your colleagues sit when they are at Haas, what certain classrooms look like, and where different departments are based on color coded floor plans. We’ve never had a robust seating plan for all faculty and staff at Haas and OfficeSpace solves this problem.
FAQs |
If you’re a member of the Haas community you should have access to https://haas.officespacesoftware.com/visual-directory/ using your CalNet ID.
Send an email to [email protected], include your CalNet ID and state that you cannot log into OfficeSpace.
The visual directory is where you’ll find the dynamic floor plans and seating charts for Haas. You can search for colleagues, rooms or locations, departments, or look at the layout of different floors. Right now floor plans for Cheit, Chou, the Faculty Building and Student Services buildings are online. We’ll be bringing up Bancroft, BEE, and the I-Lab soon.
You can look at different floor plans using the dropdown on the right:
Or by using the magnifying glass you can search for specific Haas faculty and staff and find where they are located. You can also search for conference rooms, offices, etc., to help you find an in-person meeting location, for example.
When you click on the record, it’ll take you to the location of where that person sits at Haas:
Navigate to the correct floor in the dropdown, then click on the seat. You’ll see the name of the seat once you click on it. In this example, the unique OfficeSpace seat name is S450-2. If you plan on filling out the new hire docusign and need to indicate this is where your new hire would sit, you would enter S450-2. Then once you have someone hired, Facilities will be sure to put them in their seat as soon as their record is in the OfficeSpace directory.
Let’s fix it! You should send an email to [email protected] with the correct seat name of where you should be sitting. (See previous question about where to find a seat name.)
If your seat doesn’t exist in OfficeSpace, please take a screenshot of your floor, suite, or office, and indicate where your seat should be.
Let’s get it corrected! Print out or take a screenshot of your floor and mark up the changes then send those changes to [email protected]. If it’s just an issue with seats being in the wrong place or an office being misnumbered, we can fix that quickly. But if the cubicles are wrong, walls are missing, doors swing the wrong way, a conference table is wrong, or there are other large issues, please follow the same process and mark up the floor plan, number the changes, then provide those numbered changes along with the image in your email to [email protected].
Please let [email protected] know so we can remove them from the seating plan and OfficeSpace directory.
Please be patient. We’re working as quickly as we can to bring additional floorplans online and we will seat you as soon as that is complete.
This is how you would book a hotdesk (aka hoteling desk) in the future. We have not brought this feature online yet. Same with “Who’s In”, which is related to bookable hotdesks.
