Mackellar "Mackey" Violich
- Class of 2024
- Industry: Agriculture
- Function: Management and Sustainability
Mackey works for her family’s almond and walnut farm as the sustainability manager. She looks into new technology to make the farm more environmentally sustainable. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Conservation Resources Studies and Environmental Economics. She spent 5 years in the Bahamas teaching and collecting data for her Master’s of Science in Oceanography from Florida State University. She is excited to learn more about business and sustainability from Haas to apply to her family farming practices.
Kyle Bell

Kyle is a Finance Program Manager at Google LLC, who oversees the governance of Financial and/or Business sensitive disclosures. He graduated from Canisius University with a double major in Information Systems Management and Accounting Information Systems, and a minor in Computer Forensics. Prior to joining Google, Kyle worked for 5 years as a Contract Risk & Compliance Consultant, where he spent half of each year internationally, supporting clients in APAC and LATAM. As a CPA and Finance professional, Kyle came to Haas to better his understanding of the non financial and strategic aspects business.
Karan Singh

I am currently a Senior Solution Architect at AWS and pursuing my EWMBA at Haas (Class of 2025). Prior to AWS, I spent 7 years working in the semiconductor engineering at Intel. I chose the Haas EWMBA program because it allowed me the flexibility of acquiring business skills while keeping up-to-date with advancements in technology industry. As a VP of admissions, I aim to de-mystify the questions most folks have prior to joining business school “Why MBA?”. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Manipal University and a Masters in Science in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
Swarna Karuppiah

Swarna Karuppiah is currently working in Austin, Texas, as a licensed engineer in building design and sustainability with over 7 years of experience. She joined the Flex program with an aim to bridge her skills gap and explore career growth & pivots. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and her Master’s in Structural Engineering at the University of Southern California. As a VP of Admissions, she hopes to create transparency around the Haas experiences and the available opportunities for the prospective students.
