Middle School After School Virtual Program
Are you a middle school student who is interested in business but have other summer plans? Check out the Berkeley Business Academy for Youth Middle School After School (MSAS) Program! B-BAY Middle School After School is a virtual experience offered to students currently in grades 6-8th!
Facing change head-on is familiar territory for entrepreneurs. An entrepreneurial mindset allows you to overcome challenges, make predictions about the future, learn from mistakes, and strive for improvement.
Through instruction from BerkeleyHaas faculty, industry experts, college teaching assistants and critical thinking, problem solving workshops with your peers, students will work in teams to utilize new found knowledge to develop a solution for a Social Impact problem.
2025 Program Focus: Artificial Intelligence
Each year, the MSAS program explores key business topics through a theme. This year, students will dive into the dynamic world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring its history, impact on the business landscape, and innovative potential. Through interactive sessions, students will not only learn how AI is reshaping industries but will also brainstorm creative AI-driven solutions to everyday challenges.

Middle school students who participate in B-BAY After School will:
- Have fun!
- Learn business fundamentals and vocabulary
- Study pressing global issues
- Develop an idea through a Business Model Canvas
- Build confidence and learn about their strengths through teamwork
- Develop communication skills as you present what you have learned
Technical Requirements
B-BAY MSAS will utilize Zoom and Canvas for virtual learning. All participants must meet the minimum computer and browser requirements for both platforms:
